MS447 Sixth Grade Supply List 2025-26
Welcome! We are so excited to have your student at our school! Here are the supplies that you need to purchase. Your student should bring them into school on Friday, September 5. This is not a long list (and you might already have some of the items), because we’ll be providing additional supplies for your students. FYI – Students are allowed to use their lockers in the morning, at lunch, and at the end of the day to put their lunches & sports equipment in.
- Please let your pack leader know if you need financial help to purchase these items. We have donations that we can provide you!
- If you are able to donate an item from this list, then please purchase an extra and send it with your student on Friday, September 5. Please put a Post-it/note on it letting us know it is a donation.
Please buy/reuse:
- A 1.5-inch heavy-duty binder. This is the most important item to buy.
- It must have inside pockets
- It must have a hard cover
- The best are Avery Heavy Duty or others that have a “D-Ring” type construction. Circle rings break more.
- If you can’t find a 1.5 inch, then buy a 2-inch binder instead of a 1-inch binder
- DO NOT BUY Trapper Keepers
- DO NOT BUY loose-leaf paper for inside of it because we don’t use it.
- A reusable water bottle. Please no Stanley cups/anything that leaks if it tips over.
- Replacement pencils & erasers. Students are not allowed Sharpie/permanent markers
- $5 for the MS447 Planner (students will turn in their money to their pack leader the 1st week)
- A backpack big enough to hold your student’s binder & sports equipment. FYI – Students can use their locker in the morning, at lunch, and at the end of the day. But, many choose to carry everything.
- A combination lock with the lock memorized.
- Winter gear, like coats & gloves, with your student’s name written on it. If your student has a black puffy coat, then make sure to put their name inside. Many students have black puffy coats.
- Write your student’s name on all of their items, because 6th graders lose things!
Supplies for Home: scissors, colored pencils, markers, construction paper, tape/glue, pencils
Classroom Supply Donations are always welcome (bring September 5): Tissues, Paper Towels, Disinfectant Wipes
