LeAp, (Learning through an Expanded Arts Program), is extremely excited to once again host the free yearlong Afterschool Program here at MS 447. LeAp Afterschool provides an arts-in-education based curriculum that is hands-on, interdisciplinary, and project based. Youth leadership and community engagement is also cultivated through club activities that engage in community action or service projects. In our program students will participate in Arts, Technology and Athletic activities. Students will also get the opportunity to showcase their work through art galleries, healthy competition, performances, and more. Our Teaching Artists and Activity Specialists value a diverse educational experience and have special skills and expertise in their respective disciplines. As an Afterschool participant, your child can take advantage of the wide range of both recreational and enrichment activities that we have to offer. Those activities include, but are not limited to: Theater, Dance, Graphic Design, Photography, Visual Arts, Music, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Tennis, and various other club choices.

LeAp Afterschool ofrece un plan de estudios basado en las artes en la educación que es práctico, interdisciplinario y basado en proyectos. El liderazgo juvenil y el compromiso con la comunidad también se cultivan a través de las actividades del club que participan en proyectos de acción o servicio comunitario. En nuestro programa, los alumnos participarán en actividades artísticas, tecnológicas y deportivas. Los alumnos también tendrán la oportunidad de mostrar su trabajo a través de galerías de arte, competiciones sanas, actuaciones y mucho más. Nuestros Artistas Educadores y Especialistas en Actividades valoran una experiencia educativa diversa y tienen habilidades especiales y experiencia en sus respectivas disciplinas. Como participante extraescolar, su hijo puede aprovechar la amplia gama de actividades recreativas y de enriquecimiento que ofrecemos. Estas actividades incluyen, entre otras: Teatro, Danza, Diseño Gráfico, Fotografía, Artes Visuales, Música, Baloncesto, Fútbol, Fútbol, Tenis, y varias otras opciones de clubes.
