Kids and teens today are using the immense power of digital media to explore, connect, create, and learn in ways never before imagined. With this power, young people have extraordinary opportunities. However, with this, come potential obstacles and added responsibility. For some, these obstacles may be too great to navigate. The responsibilities may be too much for young people to be held accountable. Needless to say, this is difficult territory and all of us, pre-teen, teen and adult, could use some direction and helpful tips. Please take the time to look at the following links. The first is a link to a Huffington Post article where the parent writes to her child and creates a contract relating to his having his first phone. Following are links to Common Sense Media that directly discuss concerns centering around media usage. Thanks and Enjoy a Healthy and Safe Holiday Season! MS 447 Administration and Staff
