6th Grade Families!
Once again, we are thrilled to offer 6th graders an opportunity to experience our annual Camp Bernie over-night trip. Camp Bernie is a YMCA camp in Ridgewood, New Jersey, that offers ‘project adventure’ type activities. This will be the seventh year MS447 6th grade students return to Camp Bernie, and year has been a great success! Our goal is to have every MS447 6th grader participate, and to make this happen, your fundraising talent is needed. Our candy sale, PTA scholarships, and family funding and donations enabled every student to participate last year and we know we can do it again!
The purpose of the trip is to have 6th graders engage in team, trust and communication building activities, and participate in workshops and hands-on experiments. This experience enables our students to bond and further their adjustment to middle school. Please look for information coming home in your child’s backpack. This includes all necessary information and forms that must be filled out. All forms can be returned to Mili Katz or Nafesa Khan.
Some important information to note:
TRIP DATES: Wednesday October 22- Friday October 25
TRIP COST: $200.00 –Includes lodging, food, programs and activities, and transportation
DUE DATES: ALL FORMS OCTOBER 1st , ALL MONEY OCTOBER 10th.
