The Exploration Team is excited to share with you “A Taste of 447”, an online cookbook, designed by our students in collaboration with Ms. Landman in Technology. It is the culmination of the students’ individual projects for our “Food for Thought” unit. The project represents research from offsite trips including farmers’ markets, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and Brooklyn Grange (a rooftop farm). It also represents classroom work that included lessons on food justice and the environmental impact of our food system as well as writing and revision.
This final version that we are sharing with you was completed in Technology class with the guidance of Ms. Landman. The students imported their recipes into Google Slides and learned how to design and layout text and images in the program. Recipes are organized by Exploration color groups.
