Please be reminded that there is no school for MS447 students this Monday, April 24, due to staff Intervisitation Day (information below). We understand that some families may need to send their children to school, so SONYC-BBBS will provide programming from 9am-4pm, including lunch. There are no school buses on Monday. Students will not be marked absent if they are not here.
One of the exciting initiatives that our school participates in is PROSE, a partnership between the Department of Education and the United Federation of Teachers. PROSE allows our staff and administration to work together, with the DOE’s support, to collaborate in creative ways that benefit our students. One element of our school’s PROSE plan is Intervisitation Day, which is a non-attendance day for students and a professional development day for faculty.
This student non-attendance day applies to MS 447 students only–children at other NYC DOE sites will attend as usual on Monday.
